Waitsfield Farmers' Market Opens for the 2018 Season May 17th!
It is finally here; opening day for the Waitsfield Farmers' Market. Our market is one of the best and biggest in the state with over 60 vendors offering just about anything you can imagine and it is all locally grown, raised or crafted.
Each week features entertainment by local musicians that sets the festive mood for the market and creates a vibe that is intimate and welcoming. Enjoy breakfast or lunch from one of the prepared food vendors; choices range from pastries, pizza, crepes and yak burgers to authentic Mexican tamales and Taiwanese cuisine.
The market is a great place to pick-up gifts for upcoming birthdays or to get a head start on Christmas. Our artisans offer handcrafted leather products, pottery, glassworks, soap, hats, artwork and one-of-a-kind furniture. You can even buy bright tie-dyed teeshirts for the whole family that scream "Vermont circa 1970."
Of course, the heart of the market are the farmers and food producers. Meet the people who make and grow the food and learn what makes their offerings so much better tasting and better for you than products that come from halfway around the world. Pay a farmer for the cheese she made or the lettuce he grew and your dollars will circulate throughout the Mad River Valley economy.
The most important thing about the Waitsfield Farmers' Market is that it is about COMMUNITY! Whether you go every week or you have never been before, you will be welcomed with open arms.
And, don't leave Fido at home! This is a dog-friendly event. After all, our furry friends appreciate a little Saturday morning socializing too.
