QUAYL'S CHOCOLATES has been creating homemade chocolates since 1989. Back then, it was just four good friends making chocolate for holiday gift-giving in a small boxcar in Western Maine. From these humble beginnings blossomed a growing business which moved to Vermont in 1992.
Since making those first chocolates, Quayl has continued to perfect her recipes. Her signature confection, Buttercrunch, is second to none. Each piece of homemade butter crunch hand-dipped in dark chocolate and covered with roasted almonds and cashews.
Quayl has fun combining her love of chocolate and her dedication to local ingredients whenever possible. She has teamed up with many other Vermont Makers including Mad River Distillers and Lawson's Finest Liquids to create unique, distinct candies.
